THIN LIZZY Guitarist Lands On Planet Rock

THIN LIZZY guitarist Scott Gorham is joining Planet Rock to present a two-hour Sunday night show.
The 6pm show, where Gorham will play his own personal favourite tracks and talk about his days with the band, is part of a series of changes to the digital station’s line-up beginning later this week. Gorham’s show will also be repeated on Fridays.
Planet Rock presenter Liz Barnes will host a new weekly Friday night show from 10pm, beginning this week, called New Rock on Planet Rock, which will specialise in contemporary and new rock music. Core acts here will include the likes of NINE INCH NAILS, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE and METALLICA.
Nicky Horne is moving to Sunday evenings at 8pm and will include in the new slot in the first month interviews with artists including IAN GILLAN, TONY IOMMI, STEVE HOWE and CARL PALMER, while he will be joined on the programme by the station’s LA-based correspondent Christine Shannon.
Guy Pratt, who played bass for PINK FLOYD post ROGER WATERS, will move to Fridays at 8pm, while JOE BONAMASSA’s blues, guitar-based show will now additionally go out on Saturdays at 8pm as well as Tuesdays.
