BraveWords.com has received the following:
J-Rock superstars DIR EN GREY can reveal they will be returning to the UK for this year’s Download festival, taking place at Donington Park, June 12th - 14th.
"We were truly ecstatic when we got word that we were to play Download this year”, comments guitarist Kaoru. “It’s a festival we have always dreamt of being on and now we are more than honoured to actually be part of it. We got to meet fans from all over the UK on the last Kerrang! Tour in January and the overall response was more than we ever hoped for. That is also why we are really excited about playing the UK again. If not for the fans we won’t be here, thanks go out to all of them and also to our crew members! Download is going to be the first rock festival for Dir En Grey in the UK and we hope to leave something in your hearts with our show."On May 4th, 2009, a brand new DVD will be available from Dir En Grey through Okami Records. The DVD, entitled The Rose Trims Again, captures the band’s stunning live performances from their 2008 tour in Japan.
Guitarist Kaoru comments: "Through this DVD you will see that Dir En Grey is having a pretty solid run with things now. In the concert featured here, we only played a few songs from Uroboros, but the band already has a firm grasp on the world of Uroboros. It'll be an interesting watch.
It's different from our last DVD, A Knot Of, so check it out!!"
