Ex-ONWARD guitarist Toby Knapp has posted four tracks on his official MySpace page. He has issued the following track-by-track overview:

'Guitar Distortion' -- "The album's title track and my personal favorite. At 20, this was probably my best experience in the music biz. It was Shrapnel President's Mike Varney's idea to do an instrumental album that concentrated on insane riffing and time signatures rather than solos. So he hooked me up with one of my favorite guitarists, Tony Fredianelli, and brought in Ray Luzier on drums and it was an absolute blast. Remember, this is 1993 and we were recording via analog- this is live and tight. Guitarists hated it when it came out, but a few have completely plagerized it. They know who they are."

'Zion Under Attack' -- "Pure Black Metal inspired by the likes of PRIMIGENIUM and OCTINOMOS, all out war. This was taken from the WAXEN album Fumaroth released in 2006. This album continues to freak me out, it was channeled or 'received' music, and when the album was all done and I listened to it I thought 'What the fuck? Where did this come from? I'm going to Hell for this.' It felt like diabolical dictation was being received as the album just wrote itself. 'Zion' in this context refers to Heaven."

'Cosmic Conspiracy' -- From the 2006 instrumental album Polarizing Lines and much like the description above, the song wrote itself, it came to me so quickly I barely had time to keep up with the ideas/melodies/arrangements that were presenting themselves. I really like the solo as well. I believe this is what Robert Fripp means when he refers to 'Music taking one into it's confidence.'"

'Dreaming The Microplex' -- "From my latest album, Misanthropy Divine, and I wanted to attempt something that sounded like RUSH or THE POLICE. I wrote alot of the song on bass first and just created chords to pleasantly flow with the bass melodies, but, much like my personality, all hell breaks loose midway through. I had also borrowed some...uh....medication....that inspired some parts. I was thinking about insects by the end of the song."
