New "Perspectives" Article Reflects On STRYPER Frontman MICHAEL SWEET's Late Wife

In the latest Perspectives By Matt Jennings article, the writer reflects on STYPER frontman MICHAEL SWEET's recently deceased wife, Kyle Sweet. The following is an excerpt:
"I can remember my wife and I being with her at a show in Boston during the Reborn tour. When Michael and the boys hit the stage, I could see an immediate glow come over her. The excitement and energy that she possessed that night was no less than any other in the building. She was rockin’ out with the rest of the crowd, while expressing an obvious pride for her husband. That night I realized that no matter how many old Stryper vinyl records we might own, or how many times we’ve seen Michael live, and regardless of how much yellow and black clothing we’ve collected, we will never be Michael’s number one fan. That title belonged to Kyle, she was and is his number one fan."Read the full article at this location.
As previously reported, the official release date for Stryper's new album, Murder Pride, has been confirmed for July 21st through Big Three Records. Snippets of each song on the album are available in the trailer below.
The official tracklisting for Murder by Pride is as follows: 'Eclipse Of The Son', '4 Leaf Clover', 'Peace Of Mind', 'Alive', 'The Plan', 'Murder By Pride', 'I Believe', 'Run In You', 'Love Is Why', 'Mercy Over Blame', 'Everything', 'My Love'.
About the album, frontman Michael Sweet commented recently: "After years of speaking to fans and hearing comments like 'more guitars', 'more solos' and 'more screams', I decided to keep those comments in mind as I wrote each song. It was important to me to try to get back to that early sound of Stryper yet at the same time, to remain relevant today. It's certainly not an easy thing to do but as I listen to Murder By Pride, I think that was accomplished. I got the idea of the title Murder By Pride from seeing pride consume dreams, goals and many times, lives. We all deal with pride and it can be crippling, so I wanted to write a lyric and a theme that would be a constant reminder of that. This record has been in the works for a long, long time and I can only hope that it was worth the wait!"
