JON OLIVA'S PAIN recently announced guitarist Matt LaPorte’s recent partnership with Chafin Custom Guitars. LaPorte has issued the following statement:

"Even after teaching lessons in high-end retail music stores for over 20 years, these custom-built, handmade guitars are the best instruments I've ever seen. The wonderful people at Chafin ACTUALLY care about the player that makes music with their guitars. After touring their production facility, and getting to know Ben Chafin I realized that my hands and my music had found a new home. For the first time ever I'm leaving my Fenders at home. Mucho thanks to Harold and Ben at Chafin for this opportunity."

Matt will be bringing two Chafin "Ember-Black Pearl" models, custom-built to his specs, as well as a custom-built Chafin electric 8-string mandolin, on the upcoming JOP European tour which begins May 23rd.
