UNDER EDEN - Recording And Writing

Minnesota's UNDER EDEN offers the following news:
"It has been quite some time since we have posted any updates, but Under Eden is very much alive and up to no good. Progress on the new album has been picking up a bit, but these are strange times in which we live, and equally strange times for anyone trying to put out an album.Although we are still 'seeking new label' as our MySpace page clearly states, we are recording the entire new album AND writing material for a third before putting all of our efforts into finding a label home. In this era of downloading just a track or two from each artist - bringing back the days of the single, even in the underground - is there a place for a concept album? For a traditional album of any kind? Some bands are just releasing a track every now and then, putting new songs online as they're recorded. For some artists, that probably works out just fine, but we started down this road toward releasing a concept album, and we're continuing toward that end.
As stated in the past, The Science Of Self-Defeat will indeed be a concept album intended to be heard from start to finish, ten tracks in all. Enough has been recorded already to confidently state that, for people who have liked our previous output, you will like the direction. For those who thought that we should have pushed the boundaries a bit more last time around, you should appreciate where Under Eden is headed this time. This will NOT be ten songs in the same style, yet they go together in a very intentional manner.
If you've heard the new tracks from the Phoenix On Frozen Wings EP, you have some idea of where we're going, but only a hint really. We hope that you'll check back often for updates, as we continue on this path."
