Alexi Laiho, guitarist and frontman for the award-winning Finnish metal band CHILDREN OF BODOM has just been told by doctors today in Philadelphia, PA to "shut it down" due to the broken shoulder he sustained when he was ejected from his bunk as a result of the band’s tour bus taking an irregularly harsh sharp turn recently. The band have been forced to drop off the No Fear Energy Tour which also features LAMB OF GOD.

Against recommendation, Laiho decided to remain on tour and will “bite the bullet” to give metal fans the electric live performances they have come to love from the Finnish act as they support their latest album, Blooddrunk.

Affected tour dates which also feature AS I LAY DYING, GOD FORBID and MUNICIPAL WASTE include:

May

9 - Philadelphia, PA - The Electric Factory

11 - Baltimore, MD - Rams Head Live
12 - Boston, MA - House Of Blues
13 - Albany, NY - Washington St. Armory
14 - Norfolk, VA - The Norva (As I Lay Dying only)
15 - Myrtle Beach, SC - House Of Blues
