BW&BK; has received the following press release:

In its third year, Rock On The Range, the annual rock festival at Crew Stadium in centrally located Columbus, Ohio drew an audience of over 55,000 people during the weekend event held May 16th and 17th.

The two-day, multi-stage music and lifestyle event featured 19 bands on three stages each day, highlighted by performances from some of rock’s biggest artists, including MÖTLEY CRÜE, SLIPKNOT, ALICE IN CHAINS, AVENGED SEVENFOLD and KORN.

"It was brought to my attention that Rock On The Range was the biggest audience Slipknot has ever played to in America," said Clown from the group. "It was surreal! So many great bands adorned the stage that day. I knew it was going to be a great night.”

In his RollingStone.com coverage of Rock On The Range, writer D.X. Ferris noted: “Hard rock ruled the heartland this weekend as Mötley Crüe, Slipknot and Alice in Chains headlined Rock On The Range…a mixed crowd -- college kids in baseball caps to bikers -- partied under dreary skies on Saturday, and were energized and ready to toss the devil horns on sunny Sunday. Soccer or rock, the building’s two-story banner was still applicable: ‘Champions play here’ (May 18, 2009).”

This year, the annual event also furthered its commitment as "the people’s festival" by making a special offer of $30.00 general admission stadium tickets to recently unemployed rock fans in the Ohio Valley .

Presented by Right Arm Entertainment, AEG Live and Crew Stadium, Rock On The Range drew 30,000 people in its inaugural year in 2007 and more than 55,000 people in 2008. New event features in 2009 included the addition of a third stage--the Jägermeister Music Stage--on-stage fan platforms for contest winners and an expanded vendor village.
