Report: SCOTT WEILAND Says New STONE TEMPLE PILOTS Album Coming In 2010

Things seem to be rolling right along for STONE TEMPLE PILOTS/ex-VELVET REVOLVER singer Scott Weiland.
Having just finished a tour for his second solo effort, ‘Happy’ In Galoshes, and getting ready to hit the road once again with STP in July, the enigmatic frontman finds himself in a rather reflective mood in a recent interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal before a May 19th show at the Aliante Hotel & Casino.
On the subject of STP and the band’s future, however, Weiland was rather forthcoming.
“We've already got 18 songs written [for a new record].” Weiland said. “We'll probably whittle it down to the best 12, but then there'll be a lot of other songs ready for the next record.”Read the full report at Gibson.com.
