RockEyez.com's Brian Rademacher has issued an interview with vocalist Lee Pistolero of UK flamenco sleaze rockers GYPSY PISTOLEROS. The following is an excerpt:

Q: You were at Rocklahoma 2007 and 2008 and once again you will be back in 2009. Tell us what is so special about that event?

A: "It was our US debut, thanks to a pissed up Tracii Guns promise. We’re a new band, but we love the 80s genre! We are sorta under the radar and accepted in it. I think we’re a punky GYPSY KINGS or a fukked up HANOI ROCKS on a Spanish package Holiday."

Q: Do you sleep at all during those 4 or 5 days because no matter where I turned last year I saw a Pistolero?

A: "Only when we pass out! We stayed at the Hilton Gardens Hotel (Airport), I slept there twice in 6 days?? I woke up in the campsite nearly every morning. We just love the people and the whole ROK vibe, every minute we can spend wrapped up in it is special."

As previously reported, Gypsy Pistoleros have two tracks 'The Crazy Loco Loquito’ and ‘Una Para Todo Es Bandido' featured on the new classy shoot ‘em up video game Wet, released this September on Playstation 3 & Xbox360.

Wet is an over-the-top action game from A2M and Bethesda Softworks that introduces Ruby, a lethal heroine who will take any job as she likes it and the price is right.

The band have finished recording the bulk of their second album, Welcome To The Hotel De La Muerte, at Robannas Studio (Birmingham) with Miguel Seco and began recording main vocals and lead guitar mixing and mastering with Producer Joe Gibb at Mighty Atom Studios (Wales) the first three weeks of May.

Due to studio time over running, Welcome To The Hotel De La Muerte, will be released as a 7 track mini-album in time to be out for the Pistoleros main stage appearances at Rocklahoma and Rock Gone Wild U.S Festivals.

Tracks are: 'Living Down With The Gypsies', 'Viva Zapata', 'Son Ilusiones', 'Sangre De :as Rosas', 'Welcome To The Hotel De La Muerte', 'Walk Through The Shadows', 'Johnny Peligroso'.

It is unsure whether it will be released on Bad Reputation or Victory Records at this point. Further details to follow.
