BraveWords.com has received the following press release:

Lead vokillist Gord THE EXALTED PILEDRIVER Kirchin is aroused to announce that the pointy-headed performer will indeed be crossing the big pond to mount and Pile-ify the heralded Headbangers Open Air stage on July 24th despite cancellation of the band's Unsuck The Continent Eurotour. He also announces upcoming headlining appearances July 18th at Perth Metal Meltdown in Ontario, and August 29th at St. Nicolas Open Air metal festival in Quebec. "I've made some temporary but potent repairs, and the Pile-machine is fired up and running wild for the summer!".

The Exalted One details the latest incarnation of his onstage cronies in musical carnage, "Rev. Tom Cheapness on guitar, Steele McFearsome on bass, and Hank Momscraper on drums... they WILL tear your faces off!". Pile tells of how Rob Mills of RAZOR caught the new Pile-band's first rehearsal, "his lungs imploded and his eyeballs boiled... and his jaw is still dropped I think... he's even fashioned a wagon for it so it doesn't get chafed on the sidewalk... we might have caused some mental scarring there". Pile promises to post pictures "on myspace or facebook or something.. sometime".

"I really needed to ensure that Headbanger's Open Air could squeeze us back in, because the fans have been dis-served by the distro, and they need their Piley-fix, and there is nothing more important to me than doing right by the fans, hell, they're the only reason I even came back to the Pile-tinged limelight in the first place, to bring it to them live. HOA's Jurgen and Thomas are the coolest freakin' guys on the planet, and I owe them my European fan-base, ha ha". Pile also noted that plans for a full scale 2010 Eurotour are already underway, as well as interest in a South American journey.

The Exalted One explains his rapid return to live performances, "the cold mutiny of the lesser believing members only helped me actualize a few life lessons and actually fortified my resolve to bring it on harder but smarter, and some wicked cool 'myoozishnin' friends have stepped up and are learning the set to help save HOA, as well as make some diehard Canadian fans happy this summer... besides, it's not the first time this bruizer's been rabbit-punched... what doesn't kill me only makes me louder... same as it ever was".

Due to the untimely breakdown of the Pile-machine, the Hemisphere Gauche appearance in Montreal on June 20th has been cancelled. Pile comments, "there simply wasn't time enough to get a new lineup and a proper set together to save the Montreal show, and that's a drag. Hopefully, we'll be able to come back to Montreal soon". He added that perhaps "Les "Minions de l'Inquisition de Metal Québecois" can take a lil' drive and catch him and his new horde of soul reapers at St. Nicolas Open Air.

The band's recordings - Metal Inquisition (1985) and Stay Ugly (1986) - are considered cult heavy metal albums, and have together have globally sold nearly 500,000 copies to date. The band's live shows in Canada, USA, Germany, Italy, and Greece over the past five years have been 'the stuff of legend', and are evidenced in numerous YouTube clips. The band also recently released Metal Manifesto to critical acclaim, available reliably thru www.iTunes.com and other digital outlets.
