CHILDREN OF BODOM To Be Featured In Guitar Hero 5
June 10, 2009, 15 years ago
'Done With Everything, Die For Nothing', a track from CHILDREN OF BODOM’s latest studio album Blooddrunk, is confirmed to feature in Activision’s Guitar Hero 5, released this autumn.
Guitar Hero is the most popular music-based video game in the world, and COB’s inclusion will turn an even brighter spotlight onto the truly ferocious skills of award-winning guitarist Alexi Laiho - named Best Metal Guitarist Of The Year in US magazine Guitar World’s 2009 Reader’s Poll. Alexi, who has a popular signature model with ESP, is also a past winner of the 'Dimebag Darrell Shredder Award' at the annual Metal Hammer Golden Gods event.
Children Of Bodom will be releasing a new album, Skeletons In The Closet, through Spinefarm Records in September of this year. A collection of cover versions (some already available, others brand new recordings), this particular outing will be preceded by a new solo album from COB keyboard player JANNE WARMAN.
Titled Japanese Hospitality and on the Spinefarm Records UK schedule for August 24th, this 10-track release is Warman’s fourth solo effort, and features a number of special guests, including Alexi Laiho and former THUNDERSTONE vocalist Pasi Rantanen, who fronts the lead single, a cover of the JOURNEY classic 'Separate Ways'.
A ‘Best Of’ compilation rounding up tracks from the previous Warman albums will also be made available through Spinefarm on August 24th.
The title track from COB’s 2005 album, Are You Dead Yet?, has already been featured in Rock Band 2.
As previously reported, Children Of Bodom will embark on a South American tour this fall, also featuring fellow Finns AMORPHIS, who have just released their Skyforger album.
"It's been five long years since the last time COB made it all the way down there to play for some of their most enthusiastic and loyal fans!'
