This year's Bonnaroo festival took place in Manchester, TN, June 11th - 14th.

New England metallers SHADOWS FALL, who performed on June 14th, have issued the following from vocalist Brian Fair:

"Wow. What an unreal weekend at Bonnaroo!!

We rolled into this festival with absolutely no idea what to expect. I know there has been a few heavy rock and metal bands to play before but this show is mostly known for jam rock and hippieness (which I personally have no problem fitting right in with) so it was a real surprise for Shadows Fall to be invited to come to Tennessee and rock it.

All of our fears about the crowd’s reaction to the metal were quickly alleviated when THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN took the stage of the "That Tent" and proceeded to set off the insanity. The crowd absolutely exploded and showed us that Bonnaroo knew how to rock.

Next up was HIGH ON FIRE who delivered riffs direct from the mouth of hell and struck fear into the hearts of the hippies who wandered by.

Now it was time for us to take the stage. We were welcomed by a surprising "Shadows Fall" chant from the crowd and ripped in 'The Light That Blinds' and never looked back.

We set off what had to be the first circle pit in Bonnaroo history and instigated some crowd surfing insanity much to the surprise of the security staff up front.

You know that the vibe had changed when we had the crowd singing along to the "Fuck It All" pre-chorus of our new song 'Public Execution'. Peace and love? Not at this stage. hahaha.

After the set, we headed over for a quick signing with SNOOP DOGG on the main stage as our background music. Rad.

The rest of the boys headed back to the hotel after a great set from COHEED AND CAMBRIA while I loaded my backpack with the rest of our beers and headed to the main stage to get my twirl on with PHISH. They absolutely killed it and were joined onstage by BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN for a perfect ending to an amazing weekend.

Shadows Fall will be holding an exclusive performance at J&R; Music World in New York City, NY on June 19th. The band will also be available post-set for a Meet-And-Greet. This is a free event, and it starts at 6 PM, so be sure to get there early.
