MANTICORA Post European Tour Wrap-Up
June 23, 2009, 15 years ago
Denmark’s MANTICORA have issued the following update:
Our 6th tour (5th European) is over, and we are finally up and running again. We allowed ourselves a 14 days break from music, but since we have it in our blood, we are now producing new and exciting music.
We of course need to let you in on how the tour went, so to make a long story short: We had a GREAT tour! Loads of fun, screaming, playing, drinking, smoking, acting weirdly etc. etc. We went through 18 countries and played 19 shows in 16 of these countries. Most of the countries will be visited again, as we felt one with the audience at most occations, like so many times before. We'd like to take the opportunity to thank the promoters and employees at the venues, for taking great care of us.
For the curious minded, please visit this location for a tour report, written by both Manticora and CIRCLE II CIRCLE, and at the same time, we?d like to thank the CIIC guys, THE PROWLERS, BURNING BLACK, our crew, roadies and the drivers for a shitload of fun and gore!
As mentioned, we have immediately begun writing new material for the next album. It has been 2 years since The Black Circus - 2 saw the light of day, and to keep ourselves within the release barrier of max. 3 years, we need to work seriously on new material now.
At the same time, we are going to ask our management to check out the possibilities for a new tour next year. We are contemplating going out as headliners, since we believe our fans deserve the full Manticora show in stead of the 45 minutes set that a support band gets to play pr. show on a support tour. We still need you guys to spread the word about the band on forums, blogs, guestbooks, festival pages etc., so even more people will submit to our dark metal. It is, after all, more fun to play for 500 people, than 5, and it's also funnier for the audience to attend a well-visited concert than you yourself being a fifth of the crowd."
Upcoming Manticora live dates:
September
5 - Fun&Crust; Festival - Germany (near Frankfurt)
