Canuck hard rock legends HELIX performed at Rocklahoma in Pryor, Oklahoma on Friday, July 10th. Check out a video diary of their trip below.

Guitarist Brent "The Doctor" Doerner commented: "This is a trip to Pryor, Oklahoma - and the gig that followed, it took about three days. It was 109 degrees during this performance."

As previously reported, Helix mainman Brian Vollmer sent BraveWords.com the following update recently regarding the status of the band:

"Sean Kelly (CRASH KELLY) has left Helix to take the new job as lead guitarist for NELLY FURTADO. We're still going to finish off the new Helix CD and continue writing in the future. I wish him the best of luck and he goes with my blessings. He will be with the band until October, when he plays his first date in Dubai, I believe. As for Helix I'm putting the original line-up back together (drummer Greg "Fritz" Hinz, guitarist Brent "The Doctor" Doerner, bassist Daryl Gray and Vollmer) for at least a tour of Western Canada plus Ontario dates as well leading up to Christmas. These dates could possibly lead to this line-up playing festival dates in 2010. Throughout all of this we will continue working on the new Helix CD. Our next trip in will see Russ Dwarf singing a duet with me on a song Sean and I wrote called 'Hung Over But Still Hanging In'. The two other songs we'll be recording are 'Monday Morning Meltdown' and 'Vagabond Bones'."
