FEJD Confirmed For 2009 Wacken Open Air

Swedish medieval metallers FEJD are the latest act confirmed for the 2009 Wacken Open Air festival, which is scheduled for July 30th - August 1st in Wacken, Germany.

As previously reported, SKYLINE, band of Wacken Open Air organizer, Thomas Jensen, is going to perform the following songs on Thursday, July 30:

'Harder, Faster, Louder - WOA'

'We Are The Metalheads' (with DORO PESCH)

'Fear Of The Dark' (IRON MAIDEN cover)

'It´s A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)' (AC/DC cover)

'Whiskey In The Jar' (THIN LIZZY cover)

'Wacken Song' (with SODOM's Tom Angelripper)

In order that everyone can sing along, lyrics are going to be shown on the W:O:A videowalls, simultaneously.

'We Are The Metalheads' has been written exclusively for the festival as it celebrates its 20th anniversary. The new song which was written and produced by Olaf Stern (SternEntertainmentProductions). “The lyrics and the music of the song really reflect the ideas and the life of heavy metal fans. Heavy metal means more than just listening to music – heavy metal means to be free and it is about true feelings and values,” says Stern.

Doro is honored to sing the song. “It is a great song. I hope the Fans will love it as much as I do. I can't wait to play it live for the Fans at the Wacken Open Air.”

Rockalarm will be presenting the W:O:A 2009 exclusively on the internet. Thanks to the co-operation between the music-portal and Tempodome, the fans who have to stay at home will have the chance to watch the sold-out 20th Wacken Open Air live stream at rockalarm.com. The transmission will start in the morning and will continue until the early next morning. Simultaneous concerts at two stages will be recorded and delivered in addition. So fans won’t miss anything.
