THE ANSWER guitarist Paul Mahon is featured in a new interview with UK-based KomodoRock.com. An excerpt is available below.

Q: As a band you're now approaching your tenth anniversary, and are now seeing the bands star firmly on the rise. How do you feel your career has been so far?

Mahon: "It's been a long road to where we are today though things have picked up in the last few years! Next year will be our 10th anniversary and we will probably be releasing our third album. When you consider it took us four years to get a deal, three albums and a world tour with AC/DC in six years isn't bad. It's been the best of times along the road to where we are today, we cant complain. From Barfly tours with no one there to Wembely Stadium with AC/DC. It's been a colourful ride along the way."

Q: You were invited to be the guests of AC/DC on the bands World Tour. How did the invitation first come about?

Mahon: "I guess it starts with us being on Albert Productions which is the label AC/DC started on. George Young, the older brother of Malcolm and Angus, heard some of our stuff and took an interest in the band and I guess Malcolm and Angus heard about us from there. When we had finished Everyday Demons they heard that and invited us on the tour, It's a huge honour and a dream come true!"

Q: Was it a surprise to you to be personally selected?

Mahon: "Yes it was. We knew we had a shot of getting on, but there were so many other bands looking to get on the tour and we felt we would never get it."
