Spain's Hall Of Metal has issued an interview with legendary rock vocalist JOE LYNN TURNER. The following is an excerpt:

Q: OVER THE RAINBOW is the closest band to RAINBOW we’re going to find. Ritchie Blackmore is still against the reunion. Have you talked to him?

A: "I have not talked to him recently. We send messages back and forth, holiday wishes and stuff like that. I do talk to his mother in law, Carole Stevens, and we always have a pleasent conversation and show mutual respect."

Q: In Over The Rainbow we have the ex-members of Rainbow - Tony Carey, Bobby Rondinelli and Greg Smith, besides Jurgen Blackmore’s guitar (Ritchie Blackmore’s son). How did the idea of this project come up?

A: "I have been in touch with Tony off and on over the past few years, I have worked with Greg Smith many times recently and then also discussed the idea of doing some type of Rainbow reunion with Bobby. Bobby and I agreed there would be no real authenticity unless we had Blackmore and then it occurred to use that Ritchie had a son who was a very accomplished guitarist in his own right. I met with Jurgen in Germany and after some thinking it over he decided to join us."
