Rare Look Behind The Scenes Of AC/DC

Lee Umbers from Stuff.co.nz is reporting:
Fans will be taken on a rock 'n roll highway to hell when the "boys" of AC/DC hit the stage in both cities aboard a full-sized locomotive.
But there'll be no train-wreck for the band after the concerts. The legendary hardmen's rider for their Kiwi tour promoter is cups of tea!
"They drink tea like you wouldn't believe it ... Twinings," Garry Van Egmond told Sunday News. "The rider is so simple, no one can believe it."They have their own chef, [singer] Brian Johnson's brother. Once the concert is finished they have a full dinner ... [with] one bottle of wine for the band and a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream."
Van Egmond has promoted AC/DC's concerts Down Under since 1981, shortly after Johnson replaced wild-man Bon Scott who died after a night of heavy drinking.
He has watched them grow into superstars they've sold more than 220 million albums, including Back in Black, which is the second-biggest seller of all time but says any on-stage wildman antics are only acts.
Schoolboy uniform-wearing duck-walker Angus Young "is very quiet" as is brother Malcolm Young and drummer Phil Rudd.
"Brian Johnson is still a character. He tells you joke after joke. He's a very warm guy," Van Egmond said.Roadies from the band's 1973 beginnings in smoky Sydney pubs are still with them.
"Their wives will come with them to New Zealand and some of their kids. It's like a family," Van Egmond said.
"They're really different. I really can't remember a groupie scene, ever, being with them."
The key to that business Angus and Malcolm have estimated fortunes of $125 million each is their control of their destinies.
"They've always been a very together band. They're involved in everything. They write their own music. Malcolm does all the business side. Angus does all the creative side," Van Egmond said.
