Billboard.com have officially confirmed that THEM CROOKED VULTURES - the new supergroup featuring John Paul Jones (LED ZEPPELIN), Dave Grohl (FOO FIGHTERS) and Josh Homme (QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE) - will be playing a midnight show at the Metro in Chicago on Sunday, August 9th.
Tickets go on sale, Thursday, August 6 at 10:00 AM via the online only at Etix.com.
According to Billboard, details about the hard rock supergroup's work are scant, but the lineage is quite clear. Jones and Grohl have worked together many times before, including two tracks on the Foo Fighters' 2005 release In Your Honor as well as joining the Foo Fighters on stage in June 2008 at Wembley Arena. Grohl lent his drumming talents to Queens Of The Stone Age's 2002 release Songs For The Deaf.
