Geelong, Australia's THE RED SHORE have signed to Rise Records in the United States, Canada and Japan. A special deluxe edition of Unconsecrated will feature 19 songs and a DVD documentary. Look for it in stores and online on October 27th.
In May, The Red Shore debuted at No.3 on the ARIA Hitseeker Chart and Number 91 on the ARIA Top 100 Albums chart with their latest album, Lost Verses.
According to a press release, "Lost Verses is more than a trip down memory lane for The Red Shore, it's honouring their fallen brothers, celebrating their early works and most importantly, its the band regrouping and having fun doing what they do best - shredding, grinding and pummelling your senses with a sonic assault of biblical proportions."
As previously reported by The Sydney Morning Herald, The Red Shore were on tour when their van veered off the Pacific Highway, went down an embankment and smashed into a tree near Coffs Harbour just after 7am on December 19, 2007.
They were on their way to a gig in Sydney after performing at a Brisbane club the previous night. Lead singer Damien Morris died at the crash site and roadie Andy Milner died later in hospital. Three other men also suffered serious injuries.
Bassist Jamie Hope was charged on summons with negligent driving causing death and three counts of negligent driving causing grievous bodily harm.
