Late THIN LIZZY Frontman's Mum Reveals Cancer Scare

The mother of legendary rock musician Phil Lynott has suffered a cancer scare.
Philomena Lynott discovered a cancerous growth on her face in recent months. The popular Dublin woman has since undergone treatment and is making a good recovery.
A source told the Herald that Philomena had been ill and was in and out of hospital seeking treatment.
"I had a growth on my face that I had removed," she explained.
Philomena sounded upbeat and positive, revealing that she was glad to be returning to the hospital to have her stitches removed.
Philomena, who is in her late 70s, is much loved by the legions of Lynott fans. Thousands of music lovers who make the pilgrimage to Dublin to pay homage to the THIN LIZZY frontman have taken her to their hearts.
She had been making public appearances up until last month but has been forced to take time out in recent weeks for hospital visits to receive treatment for the cancerous growth.
