As previously reported, as part of its headlining set on Crüe Fest 2, MÖTLEY CRÜE is playing its Dr. Feelgood CD in its entirety. This year marks the 20th anniversary of that hit album, but Sixx, in a recent teleconference interview, said that wasn't why the band chose that album over others in the Crue catalog.

"Initially, I had thought of Shout At The Devil because I thought it would be more kind of gutsy and ballsy," Sixx says. "And then I kind of went, 'Well, maybe Girls, Girls, Girls.' And then we, like, bounced stuff around. We thought, like, let's do more of a kind of a weird, hokey club thing and do Too Fast for Love. And everyone just kind of kept going back to which album it was going to be. And 'Feelgood' just sort of won out.

"Then we found out afterward that it was the 20-year anniversary, and it kind of makes us look like we're smart, like we had a plan," he says. "We had no plan."
