Heather Polischuk from Thestarphoenix.com is reporting:

The rock 'n' roll train has pulled into Regina.

Tonight, close to 38,000 people will converge on Mosaic Stadium to see AC/DC's high voltage concert - and tour co-ordinators sound like they and the band are looking forward to it, too.

"I think they love it," said Paul Haagenson, western Canadian president of concert promoter Live Nation, when asked what AC/DC thinks about playing smaller markets like Regina. "You can see it in their faces and you can see it in the smiles when they are backstage and stuff and I think that the energy that you get in these places ... the hype and the vibes are just, everything's at such a peak level that for them when they're out there performing, they're getting the absolute best from the audience and really that's all it's about. You can't beat these experiences and I think they know that."

Haagenson and Live Nation's Ken Craig, tour co-ordinator for the band's entire Canadian run, joined Neil Donnelly from Evraz Place on Sunday afternoon, each taking time away from busy concert preparations to speak to media while, behind them, crews worked to assemble the massive set. Craig said AC/DC's members learn a bit about each locale they play and Regina is no exception.

"They brief themselves on every city that they go into and it started right from the word go," he said. "I'll give them a few tidbits about each city, what it's like, and I'll tell you what I told them about Regina, especially being here for the Rolling Stones. I told them I've never seen a hype -- ever -- for a show like I saw back in 2006, I believe it was, for the Rolling Stones and we're feeling it again in Regina for AC/DC."
