Although the foursome disbanded 40 years ago, THE BEATLES frenzy is about to hit a peak with The Beatles: Rock Band and digitally remastered versions of all 13 of the original Beatles’ albums in both stereo and mono, plus 1988’s Past Masters collection arriving on September 9th (the band's song 'Revolution 9', from 1968 self-titled LP release - better known as The White Album - ends with the words, "number nine, number nine, number nine; hence the 09.09.09 release date).

“The Beatles did not grow up,” Pete Townshend, 64, the leader of fellow English rock legends THE WHO told George Varga from Signonsandiego.com recently. “They stopped making records at a point where what they were doing was incredibly interesting and potentially very, very mature. They worked as solo artists, obviously, but - as a band - they stopped. Yet, there’s something universal about that music and The Beatles’ appeal that will go on for a long time to come, in spite of their not being here. Because they were driven by a real passion, which is still evident, and were endlessly innovative. They put an awful lot into the music and it lives on.”
“Like everybody else from my generation, I was raised on The Beatles,” said former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash, 44. “To this day, it’s mind-blowing to think how important the music of The Beatles was, from their inception to the present, and how many of their songs are international standards. This was a band that changed the world completely.”
