September 7, 2009, 15 years ago
HELIX mainman Brian Vollmer has issued the following update:
"This weekend Dale Wright (former Helix lightman for many years) and his wife Lynn came over to Planet Helix to help organize all the auction items for-the benefit next weekend. As everyone knows, the concert is to raise money for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and to raise awareness of the plights of animals in Ontario and Canada.
We've gotten great response with bands and individuals donating some great stuff to the cause. The auction that night will be conducted by auctioneer Bob Heywood of Heywood Auctions in Exeter. There are lots of great items up for grabs that night as well as having Moondog Uproar opening the show. Hope if you're in the area you'll come and check it out.
To help promote the show, last week I guested on KOOL FM's morning show with Angie and The Sarge. Thanks to both of them for having me on and helping to promote the cause.
As well, last week I was interviewed by Joel Rubinoff of the Kitchener-Waterloo Record. Here is the write-up:
Dale and Lynn also helped me put together this video to show everyone some of the great stuff on the auction block that night."
