WWIII frontman Mandy Lion has checked in with the following update:

"Hi guys,

As you all know I have been giving away free music for years. I still do that by the way.

One of the trends I have seen which bother me are high live performance ticket prizes. I hate to see a hard working fan fork out 40, 50 and sometimes up to 100 dollars for a ticket to see a band. I think that is completely out of line and quite frankly almost never worth it. Asking a fan to spend that kind of cash to see you play live is a huge fuck you to the very people who are the heart and soul of this business. The reasons why many artists will ask for that much money are as follows:

1) The artist is greedy and or lazy. Meaning that they want to do as few concerts as possible for as much money as possible. Less work for more pay. Personally I would rather do more concerts for less money so I can sleep at night knowing that I didn't fuck over my extended RNR family.

And...

2) The venue is asking for an unreasonable amount of money for tickets to begin with.

These are the two main reasons why fans are getting reamed at the box office these days.

I am happy to tell you that not everyone in this business thinks that way. I always love it when I can find someone who shares my ideas about how to treat the fans.

I just got off of the phone with Vince Puma who is the new owner of a kick ass venue called 4th and B in San Diego. I am happy to tell you all that he and I have come to an agreement to put on an event for you guys... FOR FREE! I am waiving my performance fee and he in turn has agreed not to charge for the tickets! That means that this will be a 100 percent free performance for you all!

My dream would be an entire free tour but I guess we will have to take it one step at a time. I am looking forward to blowing the roof off of 4th and B in San Diego on October 24... FOR FREE!!!!

See you all there."
