As reported exclusively by BW&BK;'s Aaron Small, VELVET REVOLVER drummer Matt Sorum will temporarily replace Mikkey Dee behind the kit on MOTÖRHEAD's current North American tour due to Dee's involvement in a Swedish reality television show (go to this location for details). Motörhead frontman Lemmy recently commented on the situation:

"There was a breakdown in communication really. Our management didn't know that he'd signed up for this when they booked the tour. We didn't want him to have to cancel, they might have sued him or something."

Sorum made his first appearance in New York on September 9th, reportedly after only one rehearsal.

Lemmy: "He's rehearsing by watching live DVD. He's a good drummer, he's a professional."
