UK-based experimental metal band JUROJIN have issued the following update:

"So, we have indeed been very quiet. Worry not, we are very much still in action and getting ready for exciting news and more details coming your way soon.

Our album release has been put on hold for various reasons (good ones!) - we have it in our hands, all done and looking shiny so it's just a matter of time. Brand new MySpace layout on its way soon, complete with shiny new pics, brand new music, new videos, new gig announcements, etc.

Stay tuned!"

As previously reported, TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA violinist Anna Phoebe recently introduced BW&BK; to Jurojin after performing with them as a special guest at a few shows. Guitarist Nic Rizzi followed up our request for more information on the band, adding that they hope to have Phoebe record with them in the future. Phoebe has also expressed interest in collaborating with the band.

Rizzi offered BW&BK; the following Jurojin overview:

"We came together about a year and a half or so ago, with the idea to bring together musicians from completely different backgrounds both personal and musical and see what happens. It certainly took a bit of work to convince everyone to play metal as the root of our music, since aside from myself, no one particularly grew up on it or ever listened to it. However, we somehow made it work and all of us are 100% behind what we now play. We started gigging a year ago, with a couple of test gigs which eventually saw us supporting SEVENDUST on UK dates last December after only two previous gigs under our belts. This gave us a large amount of exposure, both within the UK scene as well as with a few of the bands we met along the way. We ended 2008 on a high and 2009 has been devoted to completing our album and testing the new material live as much as possible."

Jurojin's debut album will be released via their own label, Majestic Elder Recordings, in late October. They have been offered worldwide distribution for the album (digital and physical), but the initial worldwide release will be a digital-only bundle. It was mixed and mastered by producer Drew Mazurek, known for his work with LINKIN PARK, NOTHINGFACE and HIM.

More details will be revealed soon.
