ALICE IN CHAINS Announce First UK Dates In 16 Years
September 14, 2009, 15 years ago
After a stellar performance last month at Sonisphere Festival Knebworth, Seattle rock legends ALICE IN CHAINS have announced their first full UK tour since 1993.
Alice In Chains were one of the most influential and instantly recognisable rock acts of the 90s, selling over 17 million albums worldwide, but the tragic passing of original vocalist Layne Staley (RIP) in 2002 cast doubt over the future of the band. After founding members Jerry Cantrell, Mike Inez and Sean Kinney reunited in 2005 for a benefit show, the band eventually made the decision to continue with new vocalist William DuVall, and in 2008 announced plans for a new album - their first in 14 years.
Black Gives Way To Blue is set for release on September 28th in Europe and the 29th in North America.
