STRYPER frontman Michael Sweet's site has been updated with the following:

"On September 19th, 2009, some of Kyle's friends will be participating in the girlygirl P.A.R.T.S (Pre-Screening Awareness Required To Silence... Ovarian Cancer) 5K Run/Walk for Ovarian Cancer in honor of Kyle Sweet.

Kyle valiantly lost her battle to ovarian cancer on March 5th, 2009, but her vision for raising awareness to this disease lives on within each one of us.

Ovarian cancer is a silent predator, which is why we must make all the noise we can. The reason ovarian cancer is often called the "disease that whispers" is because the early warning signs often mimic other common conditions. By the time most women get the diagnosis of ovarian cancer, the disease is usually in the late stages with poor prognosis. Girlygirl P.A.R.T.S has partnered with Dana Farber Cancer Institute to provide information relating to ovarian cancer and to increase awareness to this "silent" disease. This is the first fundraiser for this organization and all monies raised will provide the initial funding towards molecular science research in search for an ovarian cancer screening test.

Your support in donating to Team Kyle Sweet gives hope to thousands of women; our mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends, who currently battle ovarian cancer, and to thousands more who don't even know they will. Kyle so eloquently wrote, "Those of us fighting this monster are frustrated by the silence, the whisper of this disease." Please join us in raising awareness and finally changing the "whisper" to a "voice."

Your tax-deductible donation can be made online at active.com/donate/girlygirlparts/teamkylesweet.

We realize that this is a tough economy, but if you are inclined, and able to give, we thank you in advance for your generous support and assistance in raising awareness to this disease."

In related news, Stryper recently issued the following update:
