UK hard rock legends DEEP PURPLE will be a special guest on the October 9th edition of IRON MAIDEN singer BRUCE DICKINSON's Friday Rock Show on BBC 6 in the UK. The show airs from 9:00pm - 12:00am in the UK. Listeners outside the UK you can tune-in online at this location between 4:00-7:00pm EST. If you are in the UK then you can listen on DAB Digital radio, on SKY and TV (SKY 0120, Freeview 707, Freesat 707, Virgin 909).

Get Ready To Rock has issued an interview with Deep Purple Keyboardist DON AIREY, conducted by Joe Geesin. The following is an excerpt:

Get Ready To Rock: Deep Purple have always toured heavily, do you find it hard work?

Airey: "It's always hard work. I think Count Basie said 'I play for free, I get paid to travel', really the travelling becomes quite arduous, it's something you learn. You wouldn't do it if you didn't play every night, that's your quid pro quo, if you know what I'm saying."

Get Ready To Rock: Any news on a new album?

Airey: "I've heard some distant rumblings, which is all you get from Purple, next year we will be doing something. Probably early in the year so release about this time next year (September 2010), is my guess."

Get Ready To Rock: So no title yet?

Airey: "A title?" (Laughs)
