Dutch mega-metallers TEXTURES have taken India by storm in an unprecedented manner. Despite having never setting foot in the country, and without ever officially releasing a record there, the band are featured on the cover of the nation’s biggest rock magazine, the Rock Street Journal. The mag contains a 5-page interview with the band as well as a poster and a CD with three Textures tracks.

Within 3 days, every single one of the 50,000 copies of the magazine were sold out, and a re-print of the magazine is set to hit the shelves next week to feed the demand. This fantastic result is testament to how power of the Internet can showcase the incredible talent of a young band, in this case capturing the imaginations of all of one nation’s metalheads who obviously know quality when they hear it.

The band are planning some shows there in November. Says vocalist Eric Kalsbeek: "We are amazed about it and the support of the Indian Metal fans! We can't wait to come over and destroy the stages in India"

A little closer to home, Textures play their final club show of their current album cycle at London’s Underworld next Friday, October 2nd with ROMEO MUST DIE supporting. Don’t miss this last chance to see the mighty Dutch metalheads before their next album cycle.

Textures have uploaded their latest podcast, Russian Roulette, which was filmed during their Russian and Estonian tour, which they did two weeks ago.

Check out the clip below.

The band recently issued the following update:

"We have just launched our first Textures app for iPhone or iPod Touch. Now you can keep up with the latest Textures news and tour dates when you are on the run. Furthermore we have added some nice bonuses such as a Textures puzzle..

You can download the app for free at the Apple App Store here.
