BraveWords.com has received the following press release:

Loveland, Colorado’s premier metal band ARCANIUM will be supporting MEGADETH on their upcoming US tour. The announcement comes from band manager Shawn Barusch of Hollowpoint Management, a division of Music Gallery International with US offices in Houston, TX and Denver, Colorado.

Originally formed in March 2007, Arcanium, consisting of Sinn (lead vocals), Cate (guitars, vocals), The Mystress (keyboards), Messiah (bass, vocals) and Thommy Razor (drums, programming), set forth to unleash an unabashed musical barrage on the on unsuspecting hard rock and metal fans worldwide. In their relatively short existence as a band, Arcanium has earned a respectably loyal fan base throughout the state of Colorado, and this forthcoming tour with Megadeth will surely solidify the band’s status as a formidable newcomer to the world of major league metal!

Arcanium display a wide array of musical styles that is encompassed by an industrial-strength metal soundscape. This diversity is clearly evident in their innovative musical structures supported by their varying musical influences. Vocalist Sinn explains, “Our bass player Messiah has a hellbilly-ish background, he’s really into Hank III, Clutch and stuff like that whereas I’m more into the new age of metal like Slipknot and Mudvayne. In contrast, Thommy and The Mystress come from a very Gothic/industrial background and the fact that Thommy does all the samples in our music it gives us a bit of that industrial edge. Cate is real into heavy bands like Lamb Of God and Slayer but is also a huge fan of ‘shock-rock,’ whether it be classic rock bands like KISS or newer breed bands like Marilyn Manson and Mushroom Head.” In fact, when the band first started performing, guitarist Cate showed his underlying love for shock-rock and wore a painted face onstage but he has since ditched the makeup for a more traditional metal approach.

On the band’s full-length debut, The Architects, Arcanium dishes up melodically haunting metal music with songs like 'Gone Away', 'Ruined', 'Strangled Heart', and 'The Knife'. The CD is released through FIST Music worldwide and available via mail order on Amazon.com and digitally through iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody, and the like. But it is the band’s over-the-top live show and striking appearance that surely sets them apart from their contemporaries. The band’s energetic live performance has garnered them several high-profile gigs opening for a wide-range of national acts from Hed PE, Devil Driver and Devine Heresy to Dark Tranquility, In This Moment and Firewind. And now, Arcanium will soon seize the opportunity of a lifetime when they support the mighty Megadeth on their upcoming US tour.

The band recently completed a video for the track 'Scarring The Mind' which showcases their savage live performance and eccentric personalities and also introduces their mascot Arnie, the two-horned creature you can find lurking about at their live shows.
