BENEVOLENT TOMORROW Signs With Long Play Records To Release New EP
October 8, 2009, 15 years ago
Los Angeles-based act BENEVOLENT TOMORROW has signed with Long Play Records for the release of their upcoming self-titled EP, which was produced by Erik Ron (SPARTA, GUNS N' ROSES, FOXY SHAZAM).
The band is current streaming new material online at their MySpace page.
“We’re excited to share our new album with everyone,” says frontman Benjamin Bensadoun. “The music scene in LA is hollow and missing its soul. I want to rip these drones out of their comfort zones and bring them back into a world where being at a show meant something. Rock concerts used to be places for people to be themselves and take a break from the expectations that were placed on them at work or home. Now I look around me at a show and people are texting or talking to their friends and enjoying the music has become secondary. We want to try and bring back that camaraderie and the excitement that live shows have."
Benevolent Tomorrow have created a buzz throughout the California scene with their mixture of classic rock, grunge and '90s pop punk. The band's eclectic mixture has earned them comparisons to classic modern rock giants like FOO FIGHTERS and STONE TEMPLE PILOTS, as well as current chart topers like SHINEDOWN and BUCKCHERRY.
