The aggressive punk/rock/metal band MONGREL are set to release their new five-song EP Revenge (on Screaming Ferret Wreckords) this Halloween at Memorial Hall in Plymouth MA at the 7th annual Hilloween concert. The EP was recorded by Tim Koukos (NUCLEAR ASSAULT, MELIAH RAGE) at SFW Studios, and mixed by Jeff Wallace (BIOHAZARD, PRO-PAIN, END OF AN ERA) at Entrolab Studios. While the EP does not come out in CD form til Halloween, it is already available on Mongrel - Revenge for only $4.95

Revenge is the follow up to Mongrel's Screaming Ferret Wreckords full length debut Fear, Lies, & Propaganda which was released in April 2008. Mongrel guitarist Adam Savage states, "the EP is a great way to introduce the steps forward we've taken with the new recordings that we've been working on this year, and gives a taste of what's to come on the new full length album This Means War which will be out in early 2010."

Savage also makes clear that all of the songs on Revenge are exclusive to this EP and will not be on the upcoming full length cd, stating, "We wanted to keep the EP as something special for the fans and not make them re-buy the same songs when the new album comes out."

The Revenge EP features the songs: 'Scum', 'Catharsis', 'Beyond Repair', 'Butterknife Suicide', and 'Point A Finger' (featuring guest vocals by Tylor Monroe of SCARECROW HILL). Two tracks from the EP, "Butterknife Suicide" & "Scum", are currently available in streaming format on the band's MySpace page.

Mongrel just taped an episode of Scorch's PFG-TV (an internet and cable tv 'late night' style show) on which they performed the new EP in it's entirety. The episode of the show will air on various cable stations in 85 cities around the country and online at www.PFG-TV.com starting Saturday October 10th.
