SKINLAB Singer Issues Health Update
October 9, 2009, 15 years ago
SKINLAB singer/bassist Steev Esquivel has issued the following update:
"First off i'd like to thak everyone for all their support and encouraging letters regarding my sickness. I'm finally home resting up the lungs and finally able to get a full breath of air into my system.I've gotta say it has been a rough few weeks... not for only me... but my band as they have been nothing short of supportive for my situation... that has ultimatly has taken its toll on not only me, but the band, our agent, label, sponsors and most of all the fans who have stuck by us thru thick and thicker!!
Like I said this is the first time I've ever been sidelined by any weakness and it bums me out to have cancelled the tour... knowing that there has been so much hard work put into making this tour even happen.
We are currently trying to plan our next tour... let it be know we have NOT thrown in the towel and look forward to getting back on tour. With tours being lined up for Australia and Europe in early 2010, we are also making ourselves available for anything that may pop up... .bring it!!
Huge thanks to everyone who has bought the record... as reported, we're off to a slow start but sales continue to rise, which is awesome to see. With so many great bands coming out the same release day and surrounding releases we are very fortunate to even exist after such a lengthly hiatus. Thank you for your support, we love you fuckers!!
Now after such a crazy tour of ups and down and enough to chase anyone away. We'd like to announce Brian Jackson formerly of Las Vegas band KREEP to our lineup. Brian stepped in after only a week to learn a 14 song set and has absolutly crushed shit while on tour. He's proven to be a perfect fit for Skinlab and is willing to dedicate himself 150% to Skinlab, we'll be using this down time to add more new and old material to the set list as we begin rehearsal next week for our upcoming show in Sacto at The Boardwalk on October 24th... be sure to come out help celebrate the aging of my new skin... yes that's right it's my b-day... hope to see ya'll there!!!
Were also contemplating our next move for a another video and new single... and have always been about fan input... sooo let us hear you... what song would you like to see as the next video and single?????
Peace out and thanks for the support."
