As previously reported, the new album from experimental metallers WHILE HEAVEN WEPT, called Vast Oceans Lachrymose, will be released by Cruz Del Sur in North America on November 3rd and in Europe on the 6th. Greetings once again everyone!

I cannot even begin to articulate how surprised and flattered we are by the incredibly positive response to Vast Oceans Lachrymose so far - while we did absolutely give ourselves completely to this album, it was a personal journey first, one that was necessary for me... but deep inside I was concerned about disappointing longtime supporters with the further diversification of the "WHW sound." I truly hope this isn't the case, as "VOL" is no different than any of our releases in that it does come from the heart and soul.

With this said, I'd made a promise to make samples of the entire album available today, thus I present to you another excerpt from 'The Furthest Shore', 'Living Sepulchre', and 'Vast Oceans Lachrymose' itself. For those who have wondered if the "classic" sound of WHW is represented on this album, I hope 'Shore Pts 6-7' and 'VOL"'fulfill this for you. 'Living Sepulchre' is a song of madness, and unquestionably another unexpected twist on this album.

The bottom line is... if you find something of value in any of the samples that I've posted from this album, please consider listening to the album as a whole, as that is how it truly is meant to be heard... and the only way it all "makes sense" - it IS a journey, and there are still passages missing that complete the whole.

The CD's have shipped to the distributors and will be available as scheduled on November 3rd in the US and November 6th in the EU.

The LP test pressings should arrive soon, and we are looking at a mid-November release date for the 180gm LP via Maniacal Records.
