Bravewords.com has received the following press release:

Rome - Last Friday, the European tour of Swiss chartbreakers GOTTHARD started. Even before the first note from the current album, Need To Believe, could be played in the nearly sold out hall, the group visited some of their fellow citizens in Vatican.

Following an invitation by the Swiss Guardians, singer Steve Lee, bass player Marc Lynn, guitarists Leo Leoni and Freddy Scherer as well as drummer Hena Habegger arrived at the historic Porta Saint Anna, where the guardians awaited them and lead them into the holy halls of the Vatican. During almost two hours the band got to see the whole area including the popular treasure room.

Of course, also Gotthard spoke out an invitation: a bigger group of guardians showed presence at the show - dressed up civil - and celebrated Gotthard's first show. The tour, that includes next to some brand new songs, a bunch of old hits, will last until December and lead through - among others - Spain, France, the UK, Germany and Switzerland.

In Germany, Gotthard will tour with EUROPE as a special guest and absolve 13 shows.
