Rehearsal photos of METALLICA with OZZY OSBOURNE and THE KINKS leader Ray Davies - preparing for tonight's (October 30th) performance at Madison Square Garden in New York as part of the 25th anniversary celebration of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame - can be viewed below.
Chatting with Metallica singer James Hetfield this week, he told BraveWords.com: "We're rehearsing for this Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame gig that we're doing and we're honored being one of the guests representing harder rock. We're jamming with a few people, so we've got to get ourselves together for that."
Metallica are poised to hit the stage with Ozzy (yes, they will play a BLACK SABBATH song), Ray Davies (they will bang out a version of the treasured '60s hard rock classic 'You Really Got Me') and LOU REED.
"We don't know what's going on," Hetfield adds. "It's one of those things - we're honored to be asked. But being associated with the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, there's always a lot of drama. We're not worried. We're gonna show up there. We're going to know our songs. We'll just show up and see what happens man. Just go with the flow on this one."The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame's 25th Anniversary Show will feature the following line-up tonight:
JEFF BECK BAND with guest BB KING
ARETHA FRANKLIN with guests ANNIE LENNOX and LENNY KRAVITZ
METALLICA with guests Ozzy Osbourne, The Kinks' Ray Davies, LOU REED
