EX DEO Forced To Cancel Dates On ENSIFERUM Tour
November 2, 2009, 15 years ago
EX DEO, the Roman themed arsenal led by KATAKLYSM frontman Maurizio Iacono, has officially pulled out of the ENSIFERUM tour for visa matters beyond the bands control.
Commented Maurizio: "Well the Gods are definitely not smiling on us at the moment. Some confusion happened in the visa departement for a couple guys in our camp and by the time it will be solved, the tour will be too far in for us to join it and financially it would be a disaster. The good news is we will be doing the last week of shows from Chicago to New York. We’re planning some Ex Deo stuff next year in America at the moment. We’ve lots of supporters that will be dissapointed if it doesn’t happen so we’ll try our best to make it up next year.”
Upcoming Ex Deo dates (with Ensiferum, HYPOCRISY, BLACKGUARD and SWASHBUCKLE*) include:
November
29 - Logan Square Auditorium - Chicago, IL30 - Peabody’s - Cleveland, OH
December
1 - The Opera House - Toronto, ON *2 - Imperial de Quebec - Quebec City, QC *
3 - Le Medley - Montreal, QC *
4 - The Palladium - Worcester, MA *
5 - The Fillmore @ Irving Plaza - New York, NY *
Ex Deo will film a video for the track 'In Her Dark Embrace', taken from the band's debut Romulus. The video will be shot once again by renowned director Ivan Colic and producer Stanimir Lucik in Belgrade, Serbia. The filming will take place in early January 2010 and will be released in the month of Mars (March) to celebrate Mars, the ancient Roman god of war.
The video clip for the track 'Romulus' can be viewed below. Live footage of the same track, filmed during their Paganfest Europe tour can also be viewed below.
