Late BOSTON Singer Brad Delp's Daughter Taking Part In The Mongol Rally

Late BOSTON singer Brad Delp's daughter Jenna Delp is taking part in The Mongol Rally, which features teams taking ill-equipped cars 10,000 miles from London to Ulan Bator, Mongolia, all in the name of charity.
According to Seacoastonline.com, Delp, 28, was born and raised in southern New Hampshire, Delp and has always had a love for trips that go off the beaten path. She secured a spot in 2010 and enlisted her friends Nicholas Supple, 26, of Portsmouth, and Nick Dale, 29, a California native. Together, they are the Non-Toxic Avengers.
Part of the thrill of the Mongol Rally is the challenge: The three- to four-week trip involves driving in remote areas with no support or backup. There is no route given to the final destination, and while GPS may be used, many opt for a compass and map.
Today, there are more than 100 entries, and usually fewer than half finish. The rally is not a race and there is no recognition for the first-place finisher. The trip is purely for charity and adventure.
To make their team stand out, Delp, Supple and Dale decided to do something never attempted in the race's history; the trio will be operating a car run on waste vegetable oil.
"We want to show people it's possible," Delp said. "If I stand up and say I drove from London to Mongolia (on vegetable oil), I can say it's viable."Delp said the waste vegetable oil will come from restaurants along the route willing to donate used oil to their cause.
"We have to learn to say 'Can we have your grease?' in 14 different languages," she said with a laugh.
