SLASH (VELVET REVOLVER, ex-GUNS N' ROSES) has issued the following update:

"We're a little more than 2 weeks away from the LAYN Slash & Friends fundraiser, November 22nd at the Avalon Theater in Hollywood, CA. George Lopez is hosting an indulgent night of Rock & Roll with special guests OZZY OSBOURNE, BILLY IDOL, PERRY FARRELL, CHESTER BENINGTON, ANDREW STOCKDALE, FRANKY PEREZ, DAVE NAVARRO, TRAVIS BARKER, CHRIS CHANEY and myself.

The set is going to be killer and the whole event is supporting an awesome cause. Remaining tickets are available at laynrocks.com.

It's going to be one for the books for sure.

The tracking for my record is completely done and we only have 3 songs left to mix. I'm extremely happy about how the whole thing turned out, I think you're going to dig it.

Also, there is a single dropping in Japan this month that I recorded with Koshi Inaba from THE B'Z. The song is called 'Sahara' and is only available for sale in Japan and won't be on the domestic release of the CD. There is a surprise B-Side you gotta check out.

There you have it folks, hope to see you November 22nd at the Avalon."

Rumors have abounded about the list of people, who will appear on the album including ALICE COOPER, former Guns N' Roses men Duff McKagan (LOADED), Steven Adler and Izzy Stradlin, Dave Grohl (FOO FIGHTERS), Flea (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS), IGGY POP, NICK OLIVERI, RONNIE WOOD, JASON BONHAM, Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson (BLACK EYED PEAS), MAROON 5 singer Adam Levine and WOLFMOTHER's Andrew Stockdale.

“There’s quite a list of people on the album," Slash told Current-movie-reviews.com this week. "I’m not publicly talking about who it is until all the ink is dried on all the different contracts, but the rumors are out there – you sort of know what’s going on. There will be some people from the pop business that people are surprised that I’m using, and there’s also some real rock n roll people with pop guises.”

Roadrunner Records Europe have announce the signing of Slash for the forthcoming European release of his debut, self-titled solo album in spring 2010.

More news about his solo effort will be announced soon.

Video footage of Slash talking about his new Japanese-only single 'Sahara' and his collaboration with singer Koshi Inaba of the Japanese hard rockers B'Z can be viewed below:

Slash will release the two-track 'Sahara' CD single in Japan on November 11th via Universal Music - the single also features a cover of the Guns N' Roses classic 'Paradise City' featuring CYPRESS HILL and Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson from the BLACK EYED PEAS.
