Slash is currently putting the finishing touches to his upcoming self-titled solo album, in a Los Angeles studio with with former NINE INCH NAILS drummer Josh Freese and ex-JANE'S ADDICTION bassist Chris Chaney. Earlier this week he issued the following update: "The tracking for my record is completely done and we only have three songs left to mix. I'm extremely happy about how the whole thing turned out, I think you're going to dig it."
Rumored guests on the album include: ALICE COOPER, former Guns N' Roses men Duff McKagan (LOADED), Steven Adler and Izzy Stradlin, Dave Grohl (FOO FIGHTERS), Flea (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS), IGGY POP, NICK OLIVERI, RONNIE WOOD, JASON BONHAM, Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson (BLACK EYED PEAS), MAROON 5 singer Adam Levine, Myles Kennedy (ALTER BRIDGE) and WOLFMOTHER's Andrew Stockdale.
“There’s quite a list of people on the album," Slash told Current-movie-reviews.com recently. "I’m not publicly talking about who it is until all the ink is dried on all the different contracts, but the rumors are out there – you sort of know what’s going on. There will be some people from the pop business that people are surprised that I’m using, and there’s also some real rock n roll people with pop guises.”Roadrunner Records Europe have announce the signing of Slash for the forthcoming European release of his debut, self-titled solo album in spring 2010.
