hot flashes news vektor

The debut full length album, Black Future, from Arizona based virtuosic thrashers VEKTOR, will be released worldwide on November 17th, but today Heavy Artillery is offering an exclusive stream of the forthcoming album.

Vektor employs an array of intricacy, virtuosity and a wholly unique sound that has set them apart from the growing legions of color-by-numbers thrash bands. Black Future is a seventy minute epic of diabolical space metal that stimulates the senses and challenges any preconceived limits to what a metal album can be. Welcome to the future; prepare to have your brains melted.

Conceived in 2004 by front man / guitarist David DiSanto and lead shredder Erik Nelson, Vektor quickly forged a name for themselves for their unique mix of technical, speed thrash and progressive influences. Going against the grain of the Phoenix metal scene, Vektor created a wave of interest with their self released CD Demolition (2006) and the ferocious two track demo Hunger for Violence (2007). After four years of local and regional gigging opening for such national acts as TESTAMENT, HIRAX, ICED EARTH and MUNICPAL WASTE, Vektor are preparing to hit the road for their first national tour in support of Black Future alongside label mates EXMORTUS.
