Japan's DIR EN GREY, currently on tour in the US, have checked in with the following update:

"Thank you to all the fans that came out last night (November 11th) in NYC (especially those that stood outside in line for days to get the best spot)! The band was honored to meet all of you, and can't wait to perform for you on Friday and Saturday.

A special thanks goes out to James Hefield from METALLICA, who came out last night to enjoy Dir En Grey at The Gramercy Theatre on our opening night in NYC! Who will be there on Friday? Come find out while tickets are still available, grab yours here."

Frontman Kaoru has also checked in with a separate update:

"NY is freaking cold! We were in Brooklyn today for a photoshoot.

Last night we played songs that were made over 10 years ago, but we have more in the next days. It's so cold out there but I see a lot of kids lining up in front of the venue for tomorrow's show. Keep warm and stay safe, OK...

Well, you guys and gals in Chicago are next in line and I remember the concerts there as always being really crazy. It won't be long before we are they, so wait up!"

The band's tour schedule is as follows:
