LITA FORD experienced a rather bizarre look in life’s mirror recently when the heavy metal priestess met someone pretending to be her.
Actually, the person is being paid to impersonate Ford. Actress Scout Taylor-Compton plays the guitarist in the upcoming movie about THE RUNAWAYS, the '70s all-girl punk band that introduced her, as well as Joan Jett and Cherie Currie, to an unsuspecting world.
Turns out Ford wasn’t all that thrilled to learn a movie based on The Runaways was in the pipeline. But then, would you want to see your teenage years played out on the big screen, rock goddess or not?
“Most people would want to be in a movie, but I sure didn’t want anything to do with this one,” Ford said about the flick, which carries the working title The Runaways. “They’re using my name and that makes me nervous as some of the people involved have tried to destroy my career since 1980.”Read more here.
