Formed in 2006 by Runar Rock (vocals, acoustic/electric guitars, bass, Hammond and Kawai organ, and organ bass pedals) and Andy Amin (acoustic/electric guitars, Hammond and Kawai organ, and organ bass pedals) in Stavanger, Norway, Beyond The Morninglight had, according to front man Runar, a bit of an unusual start in life, “Like a lot of bands starting out, we were basically just two friends who shared the same passion for rock n' roll, and we did all the usual rehearsing for a few months without actually coming up with our own sound, until we bought an organ from a drunken old man. As soon as we heard it we knew we’d found the “BTM” sound.

“We started recording the album in 2007 at the ANP studios with Vrangsinn at the helm, who also provided the drum programming and additional guitars, and continued throughout 2008 with the Misantrof Mobile. It was the first time we’d ever been anywhere near a studio, so it was a learning curve for us, and gave us lots of ideas that we could make use of for the next album. We decided to go with Misantrof for the release, because they allow their bands complete independence over their material, and give them any advice and assistance they may need”.

Beyond The Morninglight, who define their music as “dark, atmospheric rock ‘n’ roll have already begun working on their sophomore album, which has a working title of Liberation, and which will be recorded in 2010, with Vrangsinn once again in the role of producer/technician.
