Legendary drummer Carmine Appice will appear live on Long Live Rock on Sunday, November 22, 2009. Appice will be discussing his new album with Carmine Appice's Guitar Zeus entitled Conquering Heroes, and taking some listener calls. Long Live Rock is a collaboration between music journalist and author Sterling Whitaker (www.wewillrockyoublog.com) and Classic Rock Revisited editor Jeb Wright (www.classicrockrevisited.com). The show airs live at 8 PM EST / 7 PM Central at www.blogtalkradio.com/longliverock, and listeners can call in at (347) 637-3446 to ask a question.
Carmine Appice first made his name in the late 60s with the psychedelic band VANILLA FUDGE. After five albums he and bassist Tim Bogert left to form CACTUS. The pair then teamed up with Jeff Beck for a power trio called BECK, BOGERT ANDAPPICE. The drummer joined Rod Stewart's band in 1977 and co-wrote the hits songs 'Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?' and 'Young Turks'. In 1978 he played drums on Paul Stanley's first solo album. He has been a member of KGB and has recorded with Stanley Clarke, Ted Nugent, and PINK FLOYD.
Carmine Appice first founded Guitar Zeus in 1995 with the intent to bring together some of the greatest guitarists in the world. Through the 1990s Guitar Zeus released three CDs to worldwide critical acclaim. Conquering Heroes continues in that tradition with guest appearances by a Who's Who of rock guitarists including Neal Schon, Yngwie Malmsteem, Steve Morse, Ty Tabor, Ted Nugent, Slash, Brian May and many more.

Jeb Wright is one of the best-known and most respected interviewers in the genre. As the founder and editor of Classic Rock Revisited, over the last ten years Wright has interviewed a Who's Who of rock and metal artists. He conducts the Jumbotron interviews for the Moondance Jam every year, and in 2009 Wright celebrated the first decade of Classic Rock Revisited by releasing his first book, From The Vaults Series I: Stadium Rock.
