Former FREHLEY'S COMET vocalist/keyboardist/guitarist Tod Howarth has released a video teaser for his upcoming Opposite Gods album, which can be seen below.
Tod is streaming the title track from Opposite Gods, on his official MySpace page. Go to this location to check it out.
Howarth recently issued the following update:
"The title of the new CD will be: Opposite Gods. The title idea came from a conversation that my son and I had about the relentless misdirection of most all religions three years ago - but that story is for another time. The CD will have 13 tunes on it, I am currently in the process of mastering the basic 11 songs and finishing up the writing and recording of two speciality tunes that are not as involved as the rest of the songs in respect to recording so they will complete quickly. It is another truly solo CD effort as I've again played and sang everything with exception to my youngest daughter, Tara, lending a hand to some 'answer' vocal parts on one tune. The artwork is being finalized as well by my son Tommy, and I am working on the logo and photo idea presently. I have had tremendous help over the last few years from friend Brian Sword who as a fan, now friend, has directed me into the internet faction of music networking, info and setting up the myspace page. Thank you Brian! I do believe that this is some of my best work, lyrically, musically and a freakin' circus act of studio damage control, producer, engineer, mixer, artist, multi hat wearin' mofo in unbelievable make shift studio squalor.
Just for fun here are the songs titles in no real order at the moment:
'Tell Me'
'On Your Own'
'Change'
'Drown'
'Way Down South'
'Veterans'
'Opposite Gods'
'Dancing Through The Pain'
'The Artist'
'Layne'
'Jimbo's Bunk'
Extra tracks:
'October Son'
'Untitled' (not the name)
There will be stories about the origin of each tune and of course, lyrics posted to the new CD section of my sites soon but first my work load is immense! Any interested labels contact me at: todboy@cox.net.
Friends and fans don't fear, as I will be getting the CDs out regardless of distribution. Lastly, I will keep you posted as to what it happening more so often than I have in the recent past, as I am at the climatic point now!
